Many people who would otherwise like to use it natural colon cleanse don’t because they assume they taste terrible. Most the time that’s not true.

While it’s understandable that people might assume a colon cleanse with taste bad most are actually pretty good.

In addition to high fiber foods, spices and herbs are also used in natural colon cleansing recipes. Obviously since we use these to season our food, they can make for a tasty colon cleanse as well.

A lot of natural colon cleanses depend on natural high fiber for part of their effectiveness. Some high fiber foods are actually quite tasty.

High fiber foods such as flax seeds, psyllium and oats are some of the more common ingredients in natural colon cleanses.

Common spices used in cleansing include a ginger, garlic and various peppers, especially cayenne.

Many people really like cinnamon and these folks will be glad to know that cinnamon in fact has cleansing properties and as an ingredient in many colon cleansing recipes.they also may be surprised to know that it does a very good job of helping the body regulate but sugar levels.

Since so many spices and herbs have cleansing properties it shouldn’t be surprising that cuisines that use a lot of them may automatically be cleansing. This especially applies to Indian foods.

As you may know a true Indian curry is not made with curry powder we find at the local grocery store. Instead it is a highly varied combination of spices and usually includes onions and garlic as well. The exact combination varies with the part of the country, the local town and even the individual family.

If you keep these guidelines in mind I think you be able to adjust colon cleansing recipes that you may want to try to suit your taste.

As an example, I replaced the maple syrup in the so-called “lemonade cleanse” with cinnamon and thought it improved the taste while eliminating some sugars.

For example, if you don’t like the strong taste of raw garlic you can chop it and let sit for five minutes or so and then gently took it to soften its flavor. Part of garlic’s healthiness comes from compounds that are formed when enzymes within the garlic are activated when is crushed or chop. If you cook the garlic you need the after chopping it, those enzymes are inactivated by the heat before they’ve had a chance to make the transformation. This simple step let’s you get the benefit of garlic without as much of the strong taste.

Also keep in mind that just drinking plenty of pure filtered water is a good cleanse itself. And of course we should at least minimize if not completely avoid toxins such as alcohol at all times not just for doing a cleanse.

I just saw the Rachel Ray acai berry show, and since Rachel Ray has such spectacular recipe ideas, I was a little disappointed that she didn’t try to incorporate acai berry juice into a fun recipe. Since then I have tried a number of acai berry juices, which are fine on their own, but I thought that it was time that I try to experiment and see if I could create some interesting acai berry recipes.

The first thing I tried was an acai berry juice marinade on chicken breast. This is just a variation of an orange juice and white pepper marinade I picked up in Nicaragua or the lime juice and soy marinade I had been using for years. I should note that I always marinade for at least six hours as any less time doesn’t do much for me.

I start by halving the chicken breasts because I find that being able to cook smaller pieces for less time on the barbeque decreases the chance that I will overcook or dry out the meat. Add all the chicken to a glass bowl, and add cold pressed olive oil, some ground sea salt, ground white pepper, minced garlic, acai berry juice, and lime juice as the citrus flavor. I thought the sour lime would balance the sweetness of the acai berry juice. As it turns out, the chicken turned out quite well, but not quite as good as by normal marinade. I also doubted that very much of the acai goodness made it into the chicken, as most of the sauce is burned off or dripped in the bar-b-q any way.

So my next recipe was a variation on another favorite of mine, and I hoped it would turn out better than the chicken experiment. In fact it did meet with very positive reviews. This is my own version of acai berry frozen yogurt. Mix acai berry juice with a non-flavored low fat yogurt. Then set a strainer and cheese cloth in a bowl, pour through the yogurt, put it in the fridge and let it drain through the yogurt for a day. Once the yogurt has drained, you are left with a cream cheese like mixture, which in fact is quite good as a spread or dip at this point.

So once the yogurt and acai berry mixture has been mixed and whipped, put it in a Tupperware and freeze it for a minimum of 6 hours. Once it is frozen to your taste - some people prefer just a chilled version, others like really hard frozen yogurt - serve, and enjoy! This recipe so far is the favorite, and versatile as well. You can use it as a non-frozen bagel spread, or throw it in the freezer for a frozen version perfect for a hot summer day.

Last but not least, I wanted to make a recipe for the tried and true fruit smoothie, except make it an acai berry special. In a blender add ice, a frozen banana (this makes the smoothy extra creamy by allowing you to add less ice), some plain yogurt, and 3/4 cup of acai juice. If you want to make a great all around breakfast smoothie, add some wheat germ to get a bit of extra fibre and protein.

So my first attempt at acai berry inspired recipes turned out not so bad. I’m happy with two out of three successful recipes for my first attempt. Granted, my acai berry inventions are not nearly as delicious as what I imagine an acai berry recipe from Rachel Ray. I’ll keep trying though and perhaps I will eventually come up with some amazing recipes to use this amazing super food in.

When you step into the gym and those gym doors close behind you, what do you do?

Are you prepared to lift weights and workout?

Do you record your workouts in a log book?

Do you know how much weight you need to lift or how many reps you need to do to improve?

Surely, you have a plan to improve on the previous workout. If you want to build muscle, you better plan on getting better and making progress each and every workout. If you don’t give your body a reason to build muscle, it’s just not going to happen…

Now, in order to improve each and every workout, you must develop a specific mindset. And you must get your mind in shape for each and every workout. If you are serious about building muscle, you must develop this mindset.

If you don’t think this is important, you are crazy. You can continue going to the gym and wasting your efforts, your hard-earned money, and your precious time. Keep sweating and working your butt off for nothing.

You better start developing the mindset you need to win the war against the weights. If you don’t, I guarantee the weights will crush you. You won’t have a chance. You’ll struggle against the weights and get no results.

This mentality I speak of is the WARRIOR mentality. The warrior prepares for the battle. The warrior never gives up. The warrior fights until the end. And the warrior is relentless against his/her opponent. Nothing stops the warrior.

When you take that first step into that gym, you hear the doors close behind you. This means it’s time to fight. It’s time to battle the weights. There’s no turning back. You have no fear. You know that you WILL win this war. You get your log book out. And you know you will beat the previous numbers. And you will build muscle.

Sure, weight lifting is tough. It’s even tougher when you battle the weights each and every workout trying to lift heavier or do more reps. But, you have to prove to your body that it needs more muscle to survive the next workout. Do that, and you will build muscle!

There will come a time during each set in which your mind will warn you to stop. Your mind is trying to protect your body in its current state. And your mind is doing its job. But, your body can do more. And when you do more, you get rewarded. You get lean muscle mass! You win the battle. Would a warrior ever quit?

NO. Hell No. A warrior does not quit. It doesn’t matter what it takes. A true warrior will do whatever it takes to win the battle. A warrior laughs at pain and wants more. Victory is near. Never stop fighting.

You know what? You have a warrior inside of you just dying to get out! I guarantee you find him/her very soon. Remember this article as your walking through the gym doors. As those doors close, BAM!!! The warrior inside of you has just emerged. Now go win that battle!

It is certainly the most portable of these three. Since you can probably pick one up online for just under two hundred bucks it might be the most affordable as well. That’s not that bad a price for such high quality.

With each of these machines it is always best to start with their beginning program and work your way up to the advanced level. This way you wont suffer from any weariness while in your search for a way to lose 20 pounds in a month.

And remember, weight loss isnt just all about exercise. It is also vitally important that you learn how to eat right. My personal preference and the plan I try to follow religiously is food combining. This method, combined with my use of the Malibu Pilates chair workout made it quite easy for me to lose 20 pounds in a month.
